The following list defines the main tasks and experiences of the R&D Test Engineer:
• The R&D Test Engineer will be the main/lead test engineer for new products developed in China, and must therefore have a broad background from testing of tele-/ data-communication products.
• The R&D Test Engineer must have a good understanding of data- and telecommunication technologies, e.g. Ethernet, SDH/Sonet and PDH, and a good understanding of Network Management concepts.
• The R&D Test Engineer must be able to technically coach and guide the other test engineers, contribute to the writing of Test specifications of the products developed, and also be an active part in testing of the products.
• The R&D Test Engineer must understand how the SW and HW is functionally working, and should also have some background from development of SW (test SW), alternatively HW (test boards etc).
• The R&D Test Engineer will form the main interface towards related Test engineers in Overseas.

Personal Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Some experience in C and C++ programming, alternative HW development.
• Experience with development/testing of data communication products
• In-depth knowledge about
o IP
o Ethernet layer 2 bridging and switching
o Ethernet layer 3 routing
o Linux or other Embedded Operating Systems
o Network Management protocols e.g. SNMP, FTP
o IEEE and MEF Standards relevant for Ethernet
• Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent
• Understanding of European culture and ways of doing business
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Open, honest, loyal
• Team player
• Minimum 5 years work experience
