Job Title:        Project QA

Responsibilities:
•        Drive and lead on projects through test design and execution for online game platform and community features
•        Ensure complete coverage of project testing and regressions required to support a weekly release of an online gaming website.
•        Attend design reviews, creating and reviewing test plans, and ensuring that appropriate testing efforts are applied to new games and features.
•        Document defects using a bug tracking database, performing verifications on fixes in multiple environments. Clearly documenting and/or communicating fix success, failures, and status updates, as appropriate.
•        Support the deployment of code to the test environments and diagnosing problems from client and server logs.
•        Live support of an online games service
Requirements:
•        Fluent in English
•        Knowledge of full life cycle software development process and software testing methodology.
•        Possesses a strong familiarity with standard design and functionality of web sites and web applications
•        Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential and innovative thinking
•        Good experience on debugging and analyst
•        Self motivation and team player
•        Formal software test experience in full life cycle development
•        Experience creating full life cycle test plans
•        Able to train team members, give technical advice and direction, and provide hands-on management.
•        Knowledge of various testing techniques and approaches.
•         At least 3 years experience QA for a web site
Desirable Skills:
•        Strong experience with automation testing, load testing, white box testing or Linux system administrator
•        Cross platform scripting experience is preferred
•        Knowledge of Perforce, SQL, Java and C/S systems, with some programming experience in one of more of these areas

Features Software Engineer

Location: Shanghai, China

Responsibilities:
- Work on features development for complex, multi-tier distributed online sites including framework and architecture improvements, backend DB layer communication and Web UI development
- Own features projects from start to finish including defining requirements, design, coding, testing, tools, release and maintenance
- Technical contributions over all technical reviews and all features projects developed in Pogo¡¯s Shanghai Studio
- Collaborate with other engineers, producers, artists, QAs and dev managers to provide in time and quality technical feedback in the whole software development life cycle

Qualifications:
To qualify for this job, the candidate MUST have:
- At least 5 years of professional experience in hands-on engineering including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing and maintenance for distributed large enterprise web applications in Java
- Self-motivated, overcomes obstacles independently, strong work ethic, hits deadlines without supervision; excellent time management, juggles many priorities correctly, and ability to assess risk and act accordingly, predicts/notices issues early
- Picks up new, complicated, abstract concepts quickly and feel very comfortable to work on complex systems
- Expert experience with database interaction, web applications, client/server architecture
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science (or an equivalent degree)
- Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals and object oriented design principles
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Chinese

Flash/Java Game Software Engineer
Location: Shanghai, China
Responsibilities:

    * Responsible for technical design, development and maintenance of online casual games written in Java or Flash.
    * Collaborate with other engineers, producers, artists, QAs and managers to provide on time and high quality technical feedback including requirement analysis, technical design,  bug fixing and project scheduling.
    * Efficiently accomplish tasks as assigned by engineering manager with quality and to expectation.
    * Provide technical opinions to other engineers in technical meetings such as code review, design reviews, etc.
    * Share troubleshooting responsibilities within a global team.

Requirements:

    * At least 5 years work on professional game development while other related experience is also acceptable.
    * Recent experience with either:
      Professional console, PC, web, or handheld game development OR Experience developing for Social Networking sites such as Facebook or MySpace, with a demonstrated passion for game development.
    * Excellent Flash or Java/C++ programming skills.
    * Flash requirements: proficient in Flash CS3 Professional, proficient in ActionScript 3, solid experience with Flex 2 / Flex 3 / and Flex Builder (needs understanding of MXML components), experience developing with Facebook or other Social Networking APIs.
    * Java requirements: at least 3 years experience working with Java and related technologies.
    * Experience working with graphical UI and client/server networking.
    * Good team work spirit and good process-oriented mindset.
    * Thorough understanding of software development cycles.
    * Good command of spoken and written English, CET 4 is the minimum.

Assistant Software Engineer

Location: Shanghai, China

Brief Description:
An entry level of position for those who have desires to step into online gaming development world and start a career as software engineer in this booming industry.

An ideal candidate will be a guy who has ability to pay attention to great details and ability to follow through a problem or task from start to end; his/her work will include but not limited to configurations/unit testing/debugging/maintenance for several recurring projects; coding in Java is expected.

Main Responsibilities:

- Own recurring configuration projects for complicated, heavy loaded, distributed online gaming sites; work from start to finish including defining requirements, design, coding, testing/debugging, tools making, release and maintenance

- Follow and improve existing processes for recurring projects and take initiatives to resolve all issues during the projects life cycle

- Collaborate with other engineers, producers, artists, QAs and dev managers to provide in time and quality technical feedback in the whole software development period

- Finish other development tasks assigned by engineering manager effectively, in time and on quality.

Qualifications:.
