Educational and Technical Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or related
- 7+ Years Quality Engineer experiences
- 3+ Years QE Lead and Project Management experiences

Position Summary:
Adobe is looking for a Senior International Quality Engineering Lead to make a big impact on Adobe products. As parts of the globalization team, you will work as a tightly extension of the product QE team. In this role, you will lead all languages globalization testing for Adobe products. You will be the main point of contact for the vendor QE teams who will be doing the bulk of the internationalization and localization functional testing. You will be involved in gathering globalization requirements, creating and running effective globalization test strategies, test plans, creating special globalization test cases or leveraging the test cases from product team for globalization testing, and building real-world localized applications to certify the software for shipment.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborative work with engineering teams at various campuses, such as US, India and Japan;
- Manage and support vendor QE teams in globalization and localization functional testing on going process to deliver high quality localized products on schedule;
- Mentor vendor QE teams in product knowledge training, bug reporting and verification and test status reporting;
- Digest features of Flex products, figure out special areas related with globalization and create overall globalization test solutions for Flex products;
- Create, review and execute globalization test plans and test cases to ensure the test coverage;
- Develop and execute thorough test plans, test cases and automated tests in a timely and efficient manner;
- Work with software developers on the design and specification of features related with globalization;
- Help improve and define effective globalization testing processes for Flex products;
- Analyze testing results and write detailed reports that accurately isolate the problem;
- Collect measurement metrics of globalization testing operation to continuously improve testing quality and efficiency;
- Monitor vendor team testing operation and find out potential risks and corresponding escalation plan and mitigation plan;
- Critically think about how local consumers will interact with the software being tested and turn those thoughts into finding bugs, listing action items, opening avenues of discussion and finding out customized requirements from local end users;
- Continually research new web technologies and incorporate that new knowledge into your ongoing QA process;
- Help manage and motivate a high-caliber, team-oriented QA organization, fostering an environment that promotes excellence and rewards results;
- Help set team vision and to socialize it across the group, actively aligning efforts to achieve the vision.

Desired Technical Skills:
- Experience as a QE lead responsible for managing projects and others
- Familiarity with QE Automation tools and methodologies and API testing
- Strong technical skills, including Java and JavaScript programming
- Solid knowledge of Internet technologies and trends
- Strong experiences in building applications using web technologies such as Javascript / ActionScript, AJAX, Flash, or Flex
- Experience testing open source and/or shrink-wrapped software for the Macintosh and Windows platforms
- Demonstrated knowledge and background in all aspects of the software development process, including engineering, quality assurance, documentation, internationalization, and localization
- Able to grasp the scope of decisions and their impact on internationalization and localization
- Expert at setting realistic time goals for deliverables

Ideal:
- Experience with Flex, AIR, ActionScript and Flash
- Familiar with anyone of the following IDE: Visual Studio, Eclipse
- Experience with application architecture and design patterns
- Experience developing web 2.0 applications
- Knowledge of J2EE or .NET applications
- Experience designing, creating, and producing real-world web sites/applications using Flex or Flash
- Experience with CSS and CSS-based web sites
- Experience with JavaScript, SQL and ColdFusion
- Experience with other Adobe product lines

Desired Non-Technical Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organized and detail-oriented personality
- Ability to achieve results with little supervision or direction
- Flexibility to move between tasks
- Proactive and positive attitude
- Should be strong communicator and able to articulate ideas clearly
- Knowledge in other foreign languages beside English is a plus, e.g. Japanese, Korean, French, German, etc.
