OVERVIEW

The Senior Associate QA is responsible for executing, and reporting on automated and manual web application/portal testing. Specifically, you will be directed towards the testing consolidated portals for both external and internal customers. This includes designing, developing, and executing quality test processes, test strategies, test plans and test cases that verify software conformance to acceptance criteria and feature design documents for small to complex projects. As a leader within a highly collaborative Agile team, you will provide mentoring and advice to other team members

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status

2. Collects and analyses data for software process evaluation and improvements, and integrates them into business processes to address the business needs

3. Provide succinct and accurate documentation of issues.

4. Delivers quality process training to technical staff and acts as an internal quality consultant to advise or influence business or technical partners

5. Ensures quality standards, procedures and methodologies are being followed

6. Document and implement test strategies, plans, processes and standards

7. Utilize, maintain and improve test execution and tracking technology and systems

8. Support and when appropriate help to maintain the test automation framework

9. Ensure that appropriate testing tools are selected and applied optimally

10. Review the architecture and designs of systems and features, and actively engage with Business Analysts and Developers/Engineers to ensure the soundness of proposed solutions Create and maintain configuration notes for the testing environments, both functional and non‐functional (e.g. performance testing) environments.

11. Actively participate in Sprint Planning and Retrospectives, ensuring the voice, recommendations and concerns of the test team is professionally and purposefully represented.

12. Lead, guide and mentor other testers

13. Provide recommendations to application stakeholders and leadership teams on fitness of releases for production deployments and/or UAT handoffs

14. Support UAT/SIT activities where requested and appropriate

REQUIRED SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE

1. Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent education

2. Testing Certification ISTQB Advanced Level preferred

3. 5+ years testing in an Agile environment

4. Good understanding of quality assurance process, tools and methodologies

5. Understanding of database schemas and querying tools

6. Creative solving of technical problems to ensure the ability to translate technical requirements into test plans

7. Ability to track multiple test efforts simultaneously and to be able to synthesize the results in fast paced environment

8. Working knowledge of AEM is preferred

9. Able to use JIRA and Confluence

10. Should be familiar with the interface testing tool (SoapUI or Jmeter)

11. Auto industry experience is a plus

12. Experience testing customer facing web applications is required

13. Strong communicator (written and verbal)

14. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

15. Ability to analyse and assist in resolving defects

16. Ability to work with cross-functional team of internal and external resources located onshore and offshore

17. Keen attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
