Position1:

VMware QA Engineer1:

Roles and Responsibilities:

    * Work with developers to design test suite
    * Assist developers in reproducing defects
    * Design test cases
    * Setup test environments and validate fixes provided for defects
    * Perform manual and automated test suites
    * Develop/Automate test suites in silk
    * Create change requests for product defects , provide necessary diagnostic data as required by product engineers
    * Analyze test reports

职位要求：
    * 1-3年软件QA经验，本科以上学历。英语口语佳，面试使用英语交流。
    * QA基础知识
    * 良好的Linux, Windows 和 Netware基础知识
    * 可以编写Perl/shell脚本

Position 2:
Software QA Engineer: IO Devices

Roles and Responsibilities:
    * Work with developers to design test suite and write test plans
    * Assist developers in reproducing defects
    * Design test cases
    * Setup test environments and validate fixes provided for defects
    * Perform manual and automated test suites
    * Develop/Automate test suites
    * Create change requests for product defects , provide necessary diagnostic data as required by product engineers
    * Analyze test reports

Requirements
    * Bachelor’s degree with 1-4 years’ experience as a Software QA Engineer
    * Fundamental knowledge of SDLC and QA concepts
    * Good OS fundamentals skills and administration experience on Linux, Windows and Netware
    * Experience in drivers testing
    * Hands on experience in Perl/shell is a must
    * Knowledge of SAN/NAS/Networking
    * Ideal candidate has strong analytical and communication skills
    * Must possess excellent problem solving skills and work through problems collaboratively
    * Install/Configure test environment
    * Strong team player and customer interaction skills
    * Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple outstanding tasks

Preference will be given to candidates who have
    * Experience in VMware products
    * Worked on open source validation tools e.g. LTP, memhog
    * Python/Tckl experience is nice to have

Position 3:
Network QA Engineer

Responsibilities:
    * Participates in defining test objectives, strategies and standards in network testing.
    * Produces high quality codes, test plans, test cases or scripts.
    * Work with team of QA Engineers knowing the priorities in various technologies like VLAN, IPv4/v6, TCP, UDP, DHCP, SNMP, NFS, Network Drivers etc.,
    * Reproduce and debug test environments; analyzing the test reports and communicates issues to development groups.

Minimum Requirements:
    * BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering is required (MS preferred)
    * Experience in network technologies (VLAN, IPv4/v6, TCP, UDP, DHCP, SNMP, NFS, Network Drivers, Routers, Switches) various network devices.
    * Experience supporting testing activities and QA engineering.
    * Hands-on experience in C and/or Perl is required.
    * In depth knowledge of Linux/ Unix operating systems.
    * Excellent communication skills.

Position 4:
ESX Server VMKernel Networking Developer

Responsibilities:
You will be challenged to design the next generation operating system networking subsystems and develop it with low-level system programming. You will get to engineer the revolutionary data center and enterprise networking virtualization.

Duties include operating system kernel networking design and development; implementing networking features, problem analysis, resolution, and debugging.

You will be a hands-on developer, capable of fully understanding the networking system and implementing and guiding the changes required to maximize virtual and physical I/O performance and scalability.

REQUIREMENTS:
    * MS, or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent;
    * Fluent in English (written and oral);
    * Strong familiarity with TCP/IP protocol suites;
    * Strong self starter with a successful track record;
    * Must have solid knowledge of modern UNIX kernels (i.e., Linux, BSD, Solaris, AIX, or HP/UX) with minimum 3 years of experience in kernel and C development, debugging, problem and performance analysis
    * Solid experience developing OS kernel-level software is required in this role;
    * Strong analytical, diagnostic and problem-solving skills with ability to work independently and deliver products in a timely manner.
    * Working knowledge of CPU internals, CPU schedulers, memory management;
    * Linux, BSD, or Solaris TCP/IP networking implementation in-depth knowledge.
    * Superior low-level C coding skills using C on Unix or Windows

Postion 5:
QA Lead / Manager


RESPONSIBILITIES:
    * To lead and manage the day to day activates of the team.
    * To keep up to date with the Linux kernel development, and how that affects all of our open sourced projects, including Kernel level subsystem changes, api/interface changes. Etc.
    * Have an expert level knowledge in the areas of Linux and its kernel, which will be used to drive the rest of the team, allowing the other team members to become experts in the given areas.
    * Interface with all the different internal groups at VMware, at the project level and also at the detailed technical level to fully understand all changes across products.
    * Takes ownership of complex testing issues of VMWare software. Defines quality assurance requirements and performance benchmarks as necessary.
    * Works with the Development and QA teams in US to coordinate Quality Assurance schedules, milestones, quality guidelines, and to identify task assignments.  Provides regular updates of progress towards milestones and schedule to manager.
    * Provides guidance to other less senior members of the team.
    * Develop and execute step-by-step test plans.
    * Work closely with Development team and Diagnostic team in US to understand product requirements, architecture and technology.
    * Flexibility to work after hours and in weekends as needed.


REQUIREMENTS:
    * Master's degree in CS or Math, preferably from a top-tier school.
    * 7+ years of software industry experience with at least 3 years in management.
    * Must have experience in managing complex cross team software project.
    * Experience in managing an Open Source project is a plus.
    * Strong analytical, diagnostic and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to generate new ideas and work independently.
    * Must want to work in and with the open source community.
    * Solid understanding of the Linux OS kernel internals.
    * Knowledge of x86 assembly / architecture is also a plus but not required.
    * Fluency (both verbal and written) in English is a must.
    * Good teamwork and communication skills with an ability to work in a multi-tasking mode and working under immediate deadlines.
    * Require travel to US.
