Job Description
In this position the individual will be responsible for the definition and communication of the Target Enterprise System Architecture (including Principles, Standards, Reference Architecture Models, Patterns, Guidelines etc.) and of Memory Solutions optimized to the Target Enterprise System Architecture. This requires the ability to facilitate architecture&solution product development decisions on topics and gaps and sponsoring the development of customized memory solutions for local IDC & Sever OEM customers such as Baidu, Huawei, Lenovo etc. in China.
Responsibilities
- Provides guidance to the organization in the Enterprise System Architecture principles, leads the organization
in implementation of standard processes and procedures
-Develop an overall strategy for the SK hynix Beijing Development Center, including an appropriate organizational design, people strategy for the team and development of the platform for enterprise system architecture tools and techniques
- Works closely with leadership in the development of the Global IT strategic plan
- Defines appropriate metrics to gauge success of department goals and service levels
- Responsible for overall recruitment, development and performance management of all direct reports
Specific Responsibilities
-Responsible for the definition and communication of the Target Enterprise System Architecture(including -Principles, Standards, Reference Architecture Models, Patterns, Guidelines etc.)
- Facilitate architecture& solution product development decisions on topics and gaps
- Sponsor the development of customized memory solutions for local IDC & Sever OEM customers such as Baidu, Huawei, Lenovo etc. in China.
- Review proposed technology platform changes for alignment and conformance with architectural guidance
- Assess the efficiency and effectiveness of methods and drive continuous improvement
- Contribute to security and risk assessment activities
- Contribute to the ongoing refresh of the developmentstrategy
- Contribute to the ongoing optimization of the staffing model
Business Insights and Leadership
-Build strong relationships with cross functional team members and project sponsors
- Propose recommendations and utilize best practices to improve processes with a focus on control efficiency. - Work closely with business partners to obtain buy in and assist the business in implementing proposed
changes.
- Facilitate discussions with business owners and subject matter experts to gain a detailed understanding of business processes
People Development
-Lead the design and implementation of career development plans for direct reports and team members
- Lead the design and implementation of a departmental roles career path
- Develop training programs to build competencies, link business and personal objectives, and foster inclusion and collaboration
- Delegate some of responsibilities to appropriate subordinates in order to benefit from smooth running of operations.
- Provide guidance and leadership to all direct reports to ensure effective and efficient flow of work, and ensure all direct reports recognize their fundamental role in the operations of their department.
- Conduct annual performance appraisal to review direct reports’ work performance.
- Recommend salary adjustments, rewards and promotions based on direct report’s performance.
- Ensure effective departmental performance through the selection, development, deployment and motivation of competent staff.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, the candidate must have the following proven experiences or expertise:
- Must have a MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering
- Extensive experience holding senior leadership positions within a global IDC or enterprise company
- 10+ years of related experience in enterprise system architecture positions
- Strong broad-based architectural focus, technical vision and technical leadership skills
- Extensive experience developing architectural models, viewpoints and blueprints
- Knowledge of, and in depth experience with, operating system, computer network, database, distributed file system, SAN/NAS appliance, and massive ISP(Internet Service Portal) system
- Experience with custom application development of client / server systems, web applications, Windows Services and Web services.
- Experience building multi-tiered web applications
- Experience with MySQL, NoSQL Server
- Supervisory and mentory experience is required
- Experience setting technical directions, coding standards, and performing code reviews
- Experience working with off-shore development teams
- Demonstrated success in delivering projects on time, on budget and according to client expectations
- Strong project management, analytical, problem-solving, and decision making skills
- Excellent management and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to collaborate with SK hynix headquarter, Business partners, project team members
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Strong motivator and team player
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally
