This feature pack provides the following feature enhancements for LoadRunner 8.1. For more details about these features, refer to the online documentation for VuGen.

Web Services and SOA
Provides enhanced Support for Web Services and SOA testing:

SOA Script Generator wizard guides you through the process of selecting testing aspects for your SOA environment, and creates scripts based on these selections. The testing aspects include boundary testing, interoperability, and security related issues.
Provides a new way of creating scripts to test Web Services by analyzing server traffic capture files.
Service Management allows importing WSDLs from files, URLs, UDDI registries, and Quality Center. Provides the ability to automatically update WSDLs from their source.
Implements checkpoints to determine if your service performed correctly.
Provides the ability to configure the transport level for messages: HTTP/S or JMS.
Supports XML parameters, enabling you to replace an entire XML structure with a single parameter.
Supports asynchronous messaging with WS Addressing.
Security enhancements support SAML tokens for signature and encryption messages.
VuGen integration with Mercury Service Test Management module for Quality Center enables you to run scripts and view results from Quality Center.
Mercury Service Test Management module for Quality Center provides full Quality Center capabilities. You can arrange your services and tests in a repository and create test plans, set requirements, and track defects for your Web Services.

Supports Framework 2.0.
Suppports .NET Remoting.
Supports C# and provides improved Visual Studio integration.
Provides recording options for managing and creating custom filters in customized environments.

Web (Click and Script)
Supports applications in all languages.
Supports recording on Windows 2003.
Provides limited applet support.
Provides enhanced API for verifications (check points) and for easier scripting.
Includes many enhancements and bug fixes, especially for AJAX applications, recording engine and replay snapshots.

Oracle 10g Instant Client
Oracle 2-Tier protocol was certified with Oracle 10g Instant Client.

Real Player
Real Player protocol was certified with Real Player version 10.

Controller
Supports working with the Controller using VMWare.
