We are here to build the operating system to power the next generation of innovative world-class consumer electronics devices in a market where the growth opportunity is significantly larger than the PC industry with a forecast of 500 million of devices being sold over the next 5 years. By delivering core applications (Browser, Media Player, etc.) in Windows Embedded CE with innovation on user experience, and connected services, our team is targeted to expand Windows Embedded CE market share especially in China and Asia market.
The ATC Windows CE test team is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test dedicated to the verification of the product breadth, shipping high-quality features to our customers so they can focus their time making those products as cool as possible instead of having to spend their time debugging our issues. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Creating test plans for product feature areas, planning for test design and execution for each milestone.
• Designing and implementing test cases to verify product functionalities, performance, security, and other requirements.
• Developing test automation used internally to verify end-to-end scenarios, traverse all configurations, track performance data, etc.
• Planning and driving test code design, scheduling, and implementation.
• Pioneering new test methodologies to deliver quality to our customers.
• Partnering closely with developers and program managers to develop the right solutions and foster an environment where test can be successful.
• Be a strong advocate of our customers and bring that feedback into our development cycle and engineering practices.
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and self-driven, have the ability to work with teams across multiple projects, have highly effective communication skills to interact successfully with team members including PM, dev, test peers and up the management chain, and have the ability to learn new technologies quickly to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications include strong communication and problem solving skills, a minimum of 2 years of computer programming experience using C/C++, C#, and the ability to work both independently and collectively in a fun team environment. A minimum of two years experience developing and testing software strongly preferred. A BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field preferred. Experience with Windows CE or Windows Mobile is a plus.
