Job Summary

NSG develops hardware and software for scalable high performance
elegantly-designed, leading-edge x64-based systems. Our systems
are optimized for the leading Operating Systems: Sun Solaris,
Linux and Microsoft Windows.

NSG is looking for an experienced, talented and creative test
engineer with 5+ years working experience in system level
quality assurance. This individual is responsible for the test
development and execution on Sun's x86 platforms.


Job Description

A successful candidate will work with local team members & Shanghai debug
team to support post-GA project test activities, and interact with US based product and development teams.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
- x86 system architecture and PC technologies
- Strong analytical, diagnostic and problem solving skills
- Working experience on Solaris, Linux, and/or Windows Operating systems
- Experience in test development and test execution
- Solid C programming and/or Perl/shell scripting languages skills
- Good communication skills in both English and Chinese
- Good team player

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE:
PC architecture, BIOS, network and storage PCI cards

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
Manufacturing test experience

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
BS with 5+ years or MS with 3+ years

MINIMUM LEVEL OF EDUCATION:
BSCS, BSEE

Job Summary

NSG develops hardware and software for scalable high performance
leading-edge x64-based systems. Our systems support Sun Solaris,
Linux, VMware and Microsoft Windows.

NSG Revenue Engineering Group is looking for a senior release & source
configuration management, and lab infrastructure support engineer.
This is a key position in NSG Revenue Engineer team in China and has
tremendous growth potential as business scales. A successful candidate
requires to have hands-on experience in Release Engineering, tool building
skills and lab management. The candidate will work closely with the Software integration and development team, QA, Lab Management in both US & China.





Job Description

Key Activities for this role:
- Act as a gatekeeper to ensure build integrity & build processes.
- Establish standards and procedures governing execution of all builds
- Manage & control source code and builds through out the product life cycle.
- Ensure product builds can be tracked back to source code and build
environment reproduced.
- Assist developers on build and source code environment.
- Build and Manage build servers and build automation environment.
- Implement future improvements to Release Engineering processes.
- Setup & maintain NSG RE QA lab systems & networks.
- Manage NSG Revenue engineering QA lab space & equipment, maintain lab
operating environment, lab infrastructure.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Enthusiastic and be able to work with limited supervision.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
- Experience in source configuration management, such as CVS,
Teamware, Subversion on Solaris/Linux/Windows platforms.
- Experience in build automation and smoke testing.
- Must have lab management and setup experience.
- Familiar with Solaris//Linux/Windows system administration and troubleshooting.
(especially NIS, NFS, DHCP configuration)
- Knowledge of Backup software SBU (Solstice Backup) or NBU (Network Backup)
including backup devices.
- Strong network configuration and troubleshooting.
- Additional tools: Ant, Make, Solaris/Linux packaging
- Languages: UNIX, Shell scripting, Perl, Java, C/C++
