POSITION:                LTON SONET System Verification Test Engineer
LOCATION:                Shanghai

I. Responsibilities
§        Integrate and certificate SONET/SDH product to ensure its’ quality on SONET/SDH feature
§        Review requirements and develop comprehensive test plans
§        Execute test cases and track test case results
§        Development test scripts and perform automation test
§        Equip laboratory and maintain equipment configurations
§        Simulate field issues to help diagnose and identify defects

II. Qualifications
§        Fluent reading, speaking and writing (mandatory),
§        Knowledge of UNIX and Korn Shell or Linux and Bash as user (mandatory),
§        Good knowledge in Sonet or SDH (mandatory)
§        Experience in Sonet or SDH test sets: analyzers and traffic generators (Agilent, HP, Tektronics) (mandatory),
§        Regression tests background
§        Knowledge of Ethernet Standards
§        Knowledge of pSOS and real-time systems.




POSITION:                LTON DATA System Verification Test Engineer
LOCATION:                Shanghai

I. Responsibilities

§        English - Fluent reading, speaking and writing (mandatory),
§        Knowledge of UNIX and Korn Shell or Linux and Bash as user (mandatory),
§        Good knowledge in Sonet or SDH.

§        Experience in DATA test sets: analyzers and traffic generators (IXIA, Smartbits...) (mandatory),

POSITION:                LTON Test Automation Infrastructure developer
LOCATION:                Shanghai   
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I. Responsibilities
§        Setup and maintain the automation test system for SONET/SDH product test
§        Support the automation test scripts development of SONET/SDH systems
§        Development test scripts and perform automation test
§        Maintain the automation knowledge base and coach SONET/SDH system tester engineer on automation

II. Qualifications
§        Fluent reading, speaking and writing (Mandatory)
§        Full knowledge using and programming UNIX and Korn Shell or Linux and Bash, including Shell programming. (Mandatory)
§        Full knowledge on programming, understanding and implementing new specifications and requirements; full knowledge on software modularity, reuse, provability and maintainability   test scripts, also a good knowledge of test automation in Hardware.
§        Good knowledge in Sonet or SDH
§        Good Knowledge of Ethernet Standards
§        Good background in Sonet/SDH or DATA analyzers and traffic generators test equipments. (Agilent, HP, Tektronics)
§        Good knowledge of serial communications, also TCP/IP is desirable
§        Knowledge of Perl and TKL-TC is desirable
§        C++ and/or Java background is desirable


POSITION:               SDH Product System Engineer – HW Architecture
LOCATION:                Shanghai

I. Responsibilities

The SDH Product System Engineer primary tasks are to translate customer & PM feature requests into detailed product features and requirements, to create and maintain the product architecture and to provide technical & directional support to R&D, Product Management and Customer Teams. The responsibilities of SDH product system engineer (HW Architecture) include:

·        Investigate new HW related feature requests or new HW circuit pack request, propose HW solutions, provide feature investigation report to PM and R&D
·        Compose SDH Product feature lists and requirements based on Customer (team) and PM input
·        Compose HW architecture document according the customer and PM input.
·        Provide training to the development teams on the concepts of new features
·        Guide HW development teams during the system concept through architecture phase
·        Ensure feature alignment between the various product development teams
·        Provide technical support to Product Management and Customer Teams
·        Participate in cross-functional design & documentation reviews

II. Qualifications:

·        An MSc or Phd degree in Telecommunication, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar.
·        3-10 years working experience in SDH system development, including either system engineering or hardware development.
·        Experience on hardware circuit pack design and/or optical system design is required. Preferred analog/digital system design background
·        Experience on system physical design and/or thermal design, mechanical design is preferred
·        Telecom industry background with extensive knowledge of SDH and related standards, both International as well as Chinese standards.
·        Experience of Datacom system development (switch/router/ATM) or Ethernet/ATM/MPLS/RPR over SDH is preferred
·        Strong communication and presentation skills, both in English & Chinese
·        Team player, able to motivate yourself and others
·        Fluent (oral and written) in English and Chinese
