CP HW RD HW design  HW Test

1)        System Testing Engineer – Test ware Support  

a.        Main Purpose of the Role and Key Responsibilities:
•        Support in all test phases: specification, planning, design, execution, reporting and documentation - reviews and inspections
•        Manages servers, SW tools and test automation framework
•        Provides technical support to system testing engineers in all SW tools and test automation related topics
•        Gurantees full functionality of test automation framework
•        Investigates future test automation requirements and does the initial investment planning and participates to ordering
•        Knowledge sharing and support in his/her expertise area              
b.        Requirements:
•        General (needed for all levels):
1.        Test tools and methods
2.        Ability to understand & evaluate internal/external specifications
3.        Hardware, SW platform and Application testing knowledge
4.        Simulator testing knowledge
5.        Fulfill quality standard and quality assurance
6.        Owns problem solving techniques and skills
7.        Process knowledge
8.        Maintenance thinking
9.        Understanding of real networks and systems understanding
10.        Lab configuration and testing environment development
11.        External collaboration
12.        Electronic measurement
13.        Fluent written and spoken English


•        Task specific
1.        Knowledge on Mobile networks (2g and 3G) in system level and familiar with network elements MSC/HLR, TC, MGW, BSC/RNC and packet switch GWs
2.        Familiar with Telecommunications interfaces Ethernet, SDH and PDH
3.        Enhanced knowledge of different protocol layers and ability to operate external simulators to validate stand alone NW element
4.        Enhanced IP networks switching and routing protocol skills
5.        Enhanced knowledge of embedded SW, Linux OS and Application SW
6.        Experience of test automation tools (e.g. Robot framework or equivalent)
7.        Enhanced Linux scripting and SW developer skills
8.        Architecture and system design experience

d.        Business Unit Description: The RTP PD HW is responsible by the in house Hardware design for platform products. Platform development provides the platform for all business units of NSN, targeting, low cost products (development and maintenance) with high quality design.


2)        System Testing Engineer – Application Verification

a.        Main Purpose of the Role and Key Responsibilities:
•        Act in all test phase: specification, planning, design, execution, reporting and documentation – definition. reviews and inspections
•        Manages tools, test environment, methods and processes linked to the job
•        Provides technical support to e.g. partners/sub-contactors, marketing and other design teams
•        Estimates work amounts in own area, Investigates lab requirements
•        Co-ordinates test coverage within own testing area, builds up the verification environment and verifies the system
•        Maintenance (fault verification, regression testing)
•        Knowledge sharing and support in his/her expertise area              
b.        Requirements:
•        General (needed for all levels):
1.        Test tools and methods
2.        Ability to understand & evaluate internal/external specifications
3.        Hardware, SW platform and Application testing knowledge
