Position Title: Test Engineer
Position overview:
Test and evaluate performance and reliability of new and/or modified products to ensure that said products contain no unidentified problems when released for production or sale.
Support New Product Engineering in the development of new or modified products by testing and evaluating prototype products.
Responsibilities:
• Create test plans and either implement these plans himself or lead the activities of Test Technicians in performing the work.
• Operate and monitor devices under test, measure and record specific physical characteristics, communicate problems and unacceptable performance to appropriate parties.
• Analyze the accumulated data and prepare final reports
Requirements:
• B.S. degree in a scientific or engineering discipline
• 3 to 5 years experience in an engineering testing environment
• Working knowledge of computers and experience with spreadsheet and word processing programs
• Some knowledge of interfacing computers with laboratory equipment
• Proficient English oral and written communication skills
