Position：Software Configuration Manager

Summary:

The Software Configuration Manager is responsible for technical direction, quality assurance, administrative processes and management governing identification, change control, status accounting and auditing of systems or software and their constituent components archives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Build software applications (compile code)
• Write scripts (code assembly, administrative, deployment, etc.)
• Develop features and enhancements in the source control tools and the SCM process
• Maintain performance integrity of code across multiple, customer-preferred, vendor-specific environments
• Understand code dependencies and daily build variations (I.e. a code fix may break the daily build by causing another portion of the code to malfunction)
• Deployment of code to various development and testing environments
• Troubleshoot broken builds and malfunctioning environments
• Proof read/audit code
• Control and manage code (source, binaries, environment configuration files, etc.)
• Administer and maintain the change management processes required to manage code effectively (I.e. maintain version labels; update source code repository, etc.)
• Implement, maintain and govern SCM standards and processes on projects
• Represent SCM Role and Responsibilities to Project Management and Project Meetings
• Work directly with developers and other SCMs to implement/drive enhancements in process standards
• Create/Maintain documentation for source code deliverables (dependencies, configurations, etc)

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or related field
• Minimum 3-5 years experience in configuration management or 7 years professional IT experience
• Certification in English or documented fluency in English written and spoken
• Ability to meet outside of normal working hours for project and team meetings
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to work effectively on highly complex, mission critical projects with little direction

Skills must to have:
• Microsoft Office Applications Experience (Word, Excel, Visio, Outlook & PowerPoint)
• Experience with source compiling/packaging tools such as RPM
• Experience with command line operating systems (Linux/Unix)
• Experience with scripting languages (Perl, shell)
• Strong Project Management, Presentation, Organization skills
• Familiar with software development lifecycle and software development methodology
• Experience with source control tools such as Subversion,

Skills for desired:
Experience with source compiling/packaging tools such as ANT, Maven, Make, AutoMake
Experience with C/C++, Java, C#, ASP.Net, XML
Experience with continuous automation processes & tools (i.e. Hudson, Cruise Control)
Knowledge and experience in open architecture development and web services implementation
Experience with source control tools such as CVS, PVCS, VSS, ClearCase
