Position Summary
This position is responsible for the overall monitoring, evaluation and testing of all software engineering development efforts.
Job Responsibilities Include:
        Ability to create thorough test plans tied to business and technical requirements
        Sound understanding of all aspects of software testing
        Ability to investigate software failures and diagnose causes
        Maintain standards for software quality operating methods, processes, systems and procedures
        Ensure that each requirement has a test case and that each requirement is not under or overly tested and meets acceptable reliability standards
        Review software design, change specifications, and plans against requirements
        Ensure that project and process control documentation are compliant with requirements
        Perform black box testing by running manual as well as automated tests including regression
        Perform verification of software requirement allocations, traceability, and testability matrix’s
        Maintains an acceptable level of technical proficiency in current area of focus
Specific Knowledge / Domain Expertise

        Deep knowledge  and understanding of testing technology
        Knowledge of systems development or infrastructure life cycles
        Knowledge of database technology
        A general understanding of business areas
        Solid knowledge of system testing techniques
        Strong communications skills
        Strong team player
Education and Work Experience
        4+ years of hands-on testing experience in at least two of the following web browsers: Internet Explorer, Firefox and/or Netscape
        2 to 3+ years of experience in creating and executing test plans
        1 year of experience in debugging/reviewing web-based applications
        1 year of experience testing database integration issues, preferably with SQL Server
        Experience with creating and reviewing technical documentation
        Excellent analytical and communication skills and experience working closely with developers
        BS in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
