Job Title: Sr. Ssoftware Eengineer (CPI Team Pilot)

Responsibilities:

The major responsibilities of this position include developing and maintaining installation,

configuration, upgrade and deployment tools for Symantec Storage Foundation, Symantec  

Cluster Server and other products. The installation involves creating and deploying

operating system level packages on Solaris, AIX, HP and Linux. This is a senior software

engineering level professional with demonstrated experience in developing large scale, high

performance software. Incumbents in this position are capable of performing all assigned

duties with no assistance and are cross train on multiple Unix, Linux and Windows platforms.

The candidate has strong understanding of Unix, Linux, OS packages; can setup new projects

from initial project definitions; recommend and develop new tools to further

Installation/Upgrade/deployment of the products.

Required Skills:

Thorough knowledge and understanding of problem solving principles:;

Must have very strong knowledge of either Perl and Unix shell programming languages.  
Well developed debugging skills.
Excellent knowledge of Solaris, AIX, HP or Linux operating systems.

Unix Administration Experience is a big plus.
Experience with Oracle, DB2, Sybase DBA is a big plus.
Experience with VERITAS Storage Foundation or VERITAS Cluster Server products is a definite

plus.  
Experience with clustering technologies and experience developing C/C++/Java programs are

both pluses.
Experience with Web Development Technologies such as CGI-Perl, PHP, MySQL, Flash etc. is

also a plus.
Bachelor's degree in computer science. M. S Preferred.

Ability to be action-oriented; ability to work with minimum supervision and set priorities;

good problem solving skills; good written and verbal communication skills in English &

Chinese; ability to follow through on important tasks.


Job Title: Associate SQA Engineer (SWIFT Team)

Responsibility:

Works under direct supervision on all but the most basic, well defined tasks. Seeks the

guidance of supervisor when unsure.  Maintains and enhances existing code with a focus on

implementation. Participates in the maintenance and development of very basic and specific

programming assignments. Has the capability of learning and applying new technologies and

build applications. Collaborates with and assists other team members in writing functional,

design and user interface specifications. Generates unit-tested software from very detailed

specifications. Learns to use professional concepts and company policies and procedures to

solve routine problems. Limited use and/or application of basic principles, theories, and

concepts.  Works on problems of limited scope. Follows standard practices and procedures in

analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. Bachelor's Degree

or equivalent QA working experience 1~3 years– Should have basic knowledge of required

programming language.


Job Title: Security Product Specialist (Senior SQA Engineer)


The qualified individual will be part of a team developing Symantec Endpoint Security

products. Successful applicant will be responsible for tests planning, test cases/scripts

writing, automation and execution.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS - REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
·        Education qualification: A Bachelor/Master degree in Computer Science or

Engineering.
·       
·        Technical requirements:
o        Minimum 3 years of testing experience.  
o        Minimum 1 year of work experience in software installation/migration
o        Comprehensive understanding of test methodologies and techniques.
o        Experience of MSI packaging tools Wise Shield/InstallShield   
o        Ability to understand MSI patches , transforms , MSI merge modules, macros and

custom action
o        Ability to detect and understand conflicts in MSI packages and troubleshoot MSI

applications
o        C/C++,  at least one script language (Perl, Python, Ruby, TCL...)
o        Experience of Ant/Make/Cruise Control is a plus
o
