For our SUSE Linux platform, we are looking for a Linux developer to help maintain packages in openSUSE and SUSE Linux Enterprise. The focus will be on maintaining scripting languages and their ecosystem (perl modules, python extensions, etc).
You will join a team of software specialists who work globally on an Enterprise grade Linux product, and collaborate closely with the Open Source community.
If you are an enthusiastic Linux user and have a broad interest in scripting languages, and if you're keen on helping shape future versions of our Linux operating system, we are looking forward to receive your application.
Requirements:
• Proven track record in Linux development and/or systems management
• Fluency in C (C++ would be nice).
• Good skills in bash
• Knowledge of Version control systems and code review, eg. git, GitHub
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Very good English skills
Optional:
• Experience in bootloder development
• Software testing and test automation experience.
• Knowledge about test driven development
