Job Description of Senior Validation Engineer for Video codec and Multimedia Framework

Responsibilities

In this position, the candidate will be responsible for validaition of video codecs, i.e. H.264, Mpeg4, WMV and etc, and related multimedia frameworks (MMF), i.e. OpenMax, GStreamer, DirectShow on Marvell silicons.
His/her responsibilities will include but not be limited to
- Identify the functinaliy, peformance and power quality target of video codecs and related MMF on Marvell silicons
- Desgin and lead junior engineers to implement test suites, to reach defined test coverage and also provide test logs to assist debugging.
- Design together with automation engineers and lead junior engineers to implement test automation systems.
- Assist team manager for project management activities.



Qualifications

The candidate must possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science with 3+ year relevant expereince, or Master of Science degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science with 1+ year relevant experience, or equivalent.

Additional qualifications include:

- Knowledge in video codec algorithm design/development/validation is a must.

- Programming skill in C, C++ and scripting language, i.e. Perl, is a must.

- Knowledge in Multimedia Framework is a plus.

- Expereince in ARM assembly programming is a plus.

- Experience in OS kernel and device drivers is a plus.

- Experience in general embedded software development/debugging/validation and its automation is a plus.

- Leadership experience in either software validation or devleopment is a plus.

- Technical influence and interpersonal influence experience in multi-national company is a must. (English and Mandarin)
