Company and Unit Description:
As a part of Ericsson China R&D, NBI Solution development department is responsible for Region China and Northeast Asia OAM Northbound Interface (NBI) software product development and maintenance support. Our department focuses on OAM NBI software product for Radio and Core network, for IP and Broadband access network and also other OAM areas software products. Currently several product lines are deployed at many customer sites. Talents with excellent telecom software testing competence are welcomed to join us.
Job Description
As system I&V engineer work efficiently in cross-unit and cross-functional team environment to ensure good quality of OAM Northbound Interface software product and contribute on team development during daily work. Working areas cover functionality verification, performance verification, and on demand customer support.
Responsibilities are:
• Build up customer requirements knowledge and software product understanding
• Design and develop test strategy based on customer spec and product requirements
• Write test specification and develop test tools
• Setup and maintain system integration test environment, integrate OAM systems, software installation and configuration.
• Perform testing, debug node/system issues and verify compliance of interfaces and features
• Handle customer site support case
• Travel for certification and customer site activities on demand
• Contribute on team level continuous development
Qualifications
• BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or Telecom Engineering
• Above 3 years’ working experience in telecom software testing preferred areas like Node level OAM testing, EMS testing, NMS testing, etc.
• Experience of integration test, testing method and technologies
• Familiarity with UNIX/LINUX OS, Sybase DB, CORBA and scripts
• Good communication skills, result-oriented and self driven
• In depth troubleshooting skills with innovative mind set
• Fluency in oral and written English
• OAM knowledge in Network Elements for Radio and Core Network Node or Optical transmission Node or NBI will be a plus
• Familiarity with Chinese Operator OAM Specs and NMS will be a plus |
