SUMMARY
Design Verification Testing is the primary function. This position is key to detecting quality issues in new products prior to customer delivery.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Test planning: formulating an overall test strategy, master test plan and detailed test cases for a CLI, GUI, and web applications, often without specs or any other type of documentation.
- Develop an understanding of all features in the product under test in order to completely regression test assuring product quality.
- Compatibility testing: verify converter products work under all required configurations (operating systems, Web browsers), and with all appropriate competitors and interfacing networking products.
- Regression test automation: develop and maintain scripts that automatically execute a regression test battery through the program's GUI to verify forward and backward compatibility.
- Testing Documentation: Develop written records to document processes and findings, as well as communicate status to appropriate channels.
KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS
- Technical degree or equivalent years of experience
- 2 to 5 years technical support experience or networking experience
- Familiarity with Networking products (hardware and protocols)
- Attention to details
- English language skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
