Job Specifications:
The scope of the Tester role includes the following:
? Reviewing business and technical requirements documentation.
? Preparing test cases
? Writing (manual and automated) test steps
? Preparing SQL
? Preparing XML
? Using a methodical approach to execute tests both manually and where necessary using automated tools and recording the results.
? Initial analysis of problems found, querying databases, checking interface formats, report formats, screen layouts
? Writing defect reports
? Verification of defect fixes
? Liaising with developers and customers
? Undertaking user acceptance testing (when necessary)
? Occasional travel to customer sites
? Reporting to Test Manager
