Project Summary and Position Overview
*****project supports the******Post Trade Services business by providing a trade notification and affirmation system. This TR hosted system makes use of Next Generation Transactions (NGTx) technology and infrastructure and distributes trade notifications from remotely connected Publishers to Receivers with an optional affirmation workflow. Publishers and Receivers may choose from a growing number of protocols and connection types and significant numbers are expected to use the platform FIX gateway.Principal Quality Engineers will be responsible for test case automation and execution of all testing required to ensure that the software is of the highest quality.They will be accountable for delivery of their own work within set processes.   
   
Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities
•        Review requirements for completeness and testability
•        Create and maintain test plans, test cases/scripts, and associated test documentation
•        Execute test cases/scripts
•        Analyse and report on the results of testing
•        Conduct testing within specific manual or automated processes
•        Test System Maintenance including Installations and Upgrades of software in test
•        Report and track defects through to completion
•        Log Interrogation and Database Manipulation to investigate issues and troubleshoot
Qualifications
Education
•        A good relevant degree desirable
Required Skills
•        Experience of using Test Director or Quality Centre (or other Test Tracking and Defect Management tools).
•        Experience of using Winrunner or QTP or other functional test automation tools
•        Visual Basic or another programming language
•        Experience in a formal software development lifecycle
•        Good communication, verbal and written
Desired Skills
•        Java
•        SQL
•        Knowledge of Oracle databases
•        Experience of using performance test tools
Any Certifications Required
•        Ideally a holder of a Foundation Certificate (or equivalent) in Software Testing.Test Practitioner (or equivalent) qualification also desirable
