TestDirector:Launching WinRunner from TestDirector

Description

      Creating an automated script in Test Director and then they click on "launch". WinRunner application opens, but the script does not open in WinRunner. The WinRunner screen hangs, then this TestDirector error appears in TestDirector screen: "WinRunner cannot connect to database. Cannot set "mismatch_break" to "on" during remote execution. Cannot connect to database server. The RPC server is unavailable."



Solution

      If you get this error check the tdclient.dll file located in the "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Mercury Interactive\TDAPIClient" for a file size of 275K and a date stamp of 1/08/01. If it does not match this replace the file from the TD CD, rename the original just in case.
