Senior/Junior Test and Integration Engineer
Organization introduction:
Multimedia Application Division (MAD) is a new business unit under Freescale’s Wireless and Mobile System Group (WMSG). MAD’s product covers three lines from Digital Audio Radio DSP, Multimedia Processor and WiFi baseband chip. MAD’s customers spread all over the world, and many of them are key players in relevant industry in the world.
MAD is expanding its R&D workforce in Shanghai rapidly. The R&D center in Shanghai will focus on both new product development and customer support. This fast growth also will give the team members great development opportunities.
MAD Test Team will support the various projects under MAD. The Test and Integration Engineer will be required to create test plans, test cases for the testing on multimedia platform, including VOIP, PMP, various applications, WLAN , and system integration testing.
Scope of Responsibilities:
- Review features and product requirements; design, creation, and maintenance of Test Plans, test cases; execute test cases; control the quality of the products.
- Define test process and methodology together with team members.
- Participate the testing tasks including functional testing, system integration testing , etc.
- Act as a "customer" to interpret and suggest ways for enhanced operation above and beyond the technical specifications, ie: make the product "User Friendly" with "Superior performance"
Specific Knowledge/Skills:
- BS /MS EE/CS degree is preferred with 2 + years software development or software testing experience;
- Experience with Linux or windows development environment;
- Good English verbal and written communication skills;
- Passion to work as a professional software testing engineer, with initiative, innovative spirit;
- Experience with test script language (shell, perl, python, etc) is a plus;
- Good understanding to test methodology, test cycle, process is a plus;
- Previous working experience on consumer electronic testing, such as PMP, DVD, etc is a plus.
