SQA Manager Job Description—Beijing
The QA Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the QA efforts for a variety of networking products that will run on both Linux as well as Embedded platforms in the future.
He/she will be responsible for locating and hiring a team of Test Leads and Engineers and defining scalble and robust test facilities to ensure a high quality product.SQA Test Leads will take on responsibility for the day-to-day testing of individual products from different ODM suppliers.
He/she will direct the efforts of these Leads and will provide guidance when required to ensure the success of the various releases and will help in areas of overflow as needed.He/she will be respondible for growing the team to support future releases of current products and new products as they are required by the market

General requirenments
Key Skills:technical,people management,project management,communications,managing a standalone group
Prior experience as a QA Team lead or QA Manager/Director in mid-size/fast growing/start-up organization
Deep Knowledge of SQA best practices are a must
Excellent multi-lingual communication skills are a must
Able to trave to US
Familiar with Linux and Windows XP computers for QA applications
Experience with version control systems such as VSS,CVS and/or perforce for QA/Testing
QA Test Plans,QA Performance Testing,QA Integrated test planning,QA Methodology,QA Processes knowledge.
Knowledge of QA/Test automation tools(ala.Mercury LoadRunner Mercury Winrunner etc.,Ixia Smartbits)
Ability to work with multiple vendor environment & distributed team(Inside & Outside United States)
5-10 Years QA Domain knowledge in Networking(Ethernet,cable,DSL,WMAN,WiFi)and multimedia products
Experience Testing/QA Embedded Systems/software
Familiar with Scripting languages,Perl,tcl/tk

Industry Knowledge
Experience with firewalls,IDS/IPS and core Internet Protocols (TCP/IP,UDP.DNS,SMTP,
SNMP,etc)
Ethernet/IP Routing and switching(TCP/IP,UDP.DNS,SMTP,SNMP,etc)
Broadband CPE(Cable DOCSIS,DSL,TR-xxx,WiMAN,Cellular)
Knowledge of wide area network security as it pertains to networking protocols and connectivity to/from outside resources
Knowledge of SIP VoIP protocols and network implementations
Knowledge of the demarks between hardware,software ,and carrier vendors and effective approaches on managing all network related issues

SQA Tester Job Description—Beijing
The SQA Test Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing all aspects of the QA efforts for a variety of networking products that will run on both Linux as well as Embedded platforms in the future,He/she will be responsibles for developing test setups and test cases for all Netgear products.Particular emphasis will be on developing test scripts for test automation

General requirements
Prior experience as a in mid-size/fast growing/start-up organization
Broad knowledge of SQA Best Practices are a must
Excellent communication skills are a must
Develop QA Test Plans,QA Performance Testing,QA Integrated test planning,QA MethodologyQA Processes knowledge

QA Group responsibilities
The QA facility will initially focus testing on service provider products,As soon as possible the testing will be extender to all Netgear products

The group is responsible for developing product test suites for:
1,Parametric testing
2,Smoke Test(Bring-up)
3,Functional Testing(Functionality and negative testing)
4,Regression Test
5,Performance Test(Stress,load test)
6,Stability(soak)test

QA group activities
The QA perform the following

Test case development
Review marking and engineering feature requirement
Review customer certification test plans
Write and review Test Plans
Create Test suites(Groups of test cases) in the Test Case Manager
Generate Traceability between requirements and test cases
Functional and System Level testing

Test Execution
Execute test cases
Track and report defects against test
Verfication phase prior to X-factory
Test and verify 1st article from Manufacturing

Test Status Reports(WEB publishing)
Create capability enabling test plans,status results and graphs to be accessed securely using a WEB Browse
Post test plans
Post test results on various builds for a given release
Post test Reports on fifferent releases

Automation
Automate Bring UP
Automate Regression
Develop a library of automated scripts to control product and test equipment
Develop a library of automated scripts to test the product GUI

The primary goal of the group must be to automate testing as much as possible.This will enable a tester to run test cases on more products than they could if testing manually,allows test execution around the clock,and ensures repeatability in test results and test execution to enable debug

Test TOOLS

The QA facility must base its operation on a high quality Test Tool,This tool must have the following attributes
1.        Be able to link requirements ,test cases and defect tracking together for tractability and coverage
2.        Act as a database of test cases enabling individual test suites (selection of test cases) to be constructed in a version controlled manner
3.        Enable automated execution of test suites
4.        Automatically generate management data to show test status
5.        Be Web enables allowing uses to view test information using a standard browser
6.        Provide secure partitioning enabling different users e.g. an ODM to see only the test suites and results application to them,This should be on a per project/per user basis with the ablitly to easily create access control list
7.        Adherence to using the tool must be rigidly enforced by the QA facility management
