Job Title:  Senior QA Engineer - Launch
Location:  Beijing, China

OpenTV (www.opentv.com) is seeking Senior Launch QA Engineers
Job Description Summary:
This position is required to ensure the management of quality of OpenTV products. The primary responsibility of the Senior QA Engineer is to guarantee that products shipped under OpenTV’s logo adhere to the highest quality standards. The Senior QA Engineer report to the Test Manager, prepare test plans & test cases for Network Package functional testing, execute & co-ordinate functional testing, report and help assess / investigate bugs. Key tasks include test script creation, test Run Execution Defect analysis, liaise with 3rd parties. Occasional visits to customer sites in Australia, India and Japan may be required. Key understanding of how operators of satellite and cable TV deploy solutions is required.
                                                        
Skills & Qualifications:
•        Structured Testing Techniques
•        Five years testing experience
•        Excellent communication and people skills
•        Software engineering or Test engineering background ideally in cable or satellite or IPTV environment
•        Excellent problem solving abilities
•        Attention to detail
•        Methodical
•        Clear verbal and written communication
•        Team player

Additional non-mandatory but useful skills:
•        EE, Computer Science or IT Related Degree
•        DVB and/or Cable TV background
•        Version control, Configuration and Release processes
•        Experience of digital / interactive TV industry
•        Application development experience
•        Test Director ( or similar test tools)
•        Experience of Automated testing techniques & tools
