Senior Mobile Software Design Engineer

Job Description:

We would like to find experienced software engineers with significant development experience.

Responsibilities include:
•        Developing key software applications and user experience components for our mobile Products.
•        Collaborating with UI designers to deliver user experience that has a wow factor
•        Delivering implementation with a good balance of quality and time-to-market goals
•        Offering technical guidance during product planning
•        Rapid prototyping of concept in cooperation with Marketing/Product Management
•        Analyzing and translating Marketing/Product requirements into technical requirements, which the team can use to drive design and implementation
•        Providing technical assessment of 3rd ** applications and services for product integration

Qualifications
Skills, abilities and knowledge required to perform the work:
•        8 years industry experience in software design and development
•        5 years in Java application development, including OOD, multi-threading, concurrent concepts
•        Experience in application development for mobile devices
•        Experience developing on Linux environment
•        Full software development life-cycle experience
•        Diligence with code coverage, e.g. JUnit tests with mock objects
•        Familiarity with development tools, e.g. eclipse
•        Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication engineering or similar degree.

Experience with the following technologies is a plus:
•        Multi-media management
•        Messaging protocol and applications (e.g. email, IM, etc.)
•        Mobile wireless technologies and network protocols
•        Client-Server application and communication, e.g. HTTP, web services
•        i18n and l12n
•        Productionalization

Additional skills to be considered:
•        Self-starter who can ramp up with new technologies quickly
•        Proven track record of on-time delivery
•        Detail oriented with testing, measuring and ensuring high quality software
•        Imaginative, motivated, and able to work effectively under pressure
•        Ability to work independently and in a team environment
