Job Description
We are looking for a build/release engineer who has the right technical and interpersonal skills to work with a great team.

The ideal candidate is a motivated individual who can work in a fast-paced environment, and when given specific tasks can take responsibility for completing them in a timely manner without hand-holding. Willingness to ask questions when needed is important to get the job done quickly.

Responsibilities
* Maintain and improve Ant build scripts for product

* Work with development to ensure the build process is serving the needs of the business.

* Performs program and system analysis. Reports build statistics

* Support daily build/release schedule
* Work with team to establish uniform build practices

* Architecting tools to run and monitor an optimized, parallel, nightly and on-demand build and deploy system across multiple development branches in multiple environments. * Strategizing on best practices for ongoing parallel development, featuring branching, merging, and common library management

*  Work with all areas of Development to ensure the build process is serving the needs of the business.

*  Troubleshoot environment issues on environments

*  Create programs to monitor and improve the QA environment process

*  Update environments when requested with the latest release and configuration files

*  Performs program and system analysis. Reports build statistics.

*  Manage build communication channels and document build procedures.

*  Develop, design and tests complex program logic.

*  Provides technical consultation & proposes solutions.

*  Maintains & enhances existing software.

*  Perform multiple daily builds for multiple software releases.

*  Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.

*  Must have a great attitude and wear many hats.

Qualifications
* Proficient with Apache Ant
* Comfortable identifying and resolving missing compile-time and run-time Java JAR dependencies in Ant scripts
* Experience with Perforce version control
* Experience with Cruise Control for continuous build management
* Excellent Linux shell (Bash) and Perl skills
* 2+ years experience using Linux desktop and servers

*Good knowledge of release engineering tools and processes



Requirements:  
* BS/BA in CS or related field.
* 3  years experience in object oriented design, coding and unit testing scalable, distributed, fault-tolerant applications

* Must have working knowledge of HTTP, HTML, Java, SQL, and working with relational databases, with a preference for Oracle experience.
* Working knowledge of CSS, Javascript, and a scripting language like bash, csh, php, python, or perl is a plus.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills and ability to take on high level of responsibility.
* Must have working knowledge of Source control and bug tracking systems. Perforce preferred
