The successful candidate:
* will support, and test software for various Customer Service Systems at QVC
* will have responsibility for the support and testing of new or existing application program software
* will have responsibility for identifying & troubleshooting defects and enhancements
* will design and create application specific services, components and user interfaces
* will be responsible for developing and testing services, components and user interfaces in accordance with the adopted standards
* will perform software builds and deploy application code which will involve working with internal QVC staff to define and develop any changes required of the existing QVC systems to support the new application
* will have strong written and verbal English communication skills
Required:
* Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or the equivalent combination of training and experience
* 2 or more years of overall IT experience
* Demonstrated technical proficiency with: HP Mercury Quality Center
* Extensive knowledge of QuickTest Professional (HP Quality Center) using a modular/keyword test automation approach
* Extensive knowledge of VB Scripting
* Working knowledge of testing concepts, verification and validation techniques, defect management, quantitative methods, risk management and measurement programs
* Working knowledge of defect tracking, quality principles and testing tools
* Experience in Visual Basic (VB), ASP and WebSphere E-Commerce
* In-depth knowledge of troubleshooting
* In-depth working knowledge of testing methodologies
* Practical working knowledge of multiple platforms
Strongly Preferred:
* Experience in HP Mercury Quality Center
* Experience in IBM WebSphere E-commerce
* Exterience in a variety of software tools and languages, preferable with Java, .Net, ASP, SQL , Visual Basic.
