Job Responsibilities:
Review and validate project scope, deliverables and release requirements
Act as liaison with groups outside of International Product Ops to confirm their acceptance of the program scope and to facilitate any project issues that arise
Manage localization vendor project performance, from definition of statement of work through project completion
Manage third-party localization testing efforts to optimize quality of localization releases
Monitor core product team delivery of required internationalization features
Ensure core product teams produce localization kits
Participate in conference calls/meetings with teammates in other countries/timezones (particularly US).
Requirements
Has at least 2 years of experience successfully managing enterprise software product localization projects on time and within budget
Enjoys managing several products simultaneously and is able to switch context between projects easily
Is experienced in managing external localization vendors, or in working as a PM for a localization vendor
Possesses excellent cross-functional negotiation and communication skills
Has sufficient knowledge of internationalization issues to permit them to participate in defining internationalization requirements for core products
Familiar with enterprise software technologies (e.g. Java, HTML, XML)
Past experience includes production of localization and certification kits
Understands and can clearly communicate on software engineering and quality assurance practices with a broad range of project team members
Uses MS Project, MS Office
Written and spoken Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English is a requirement
Language skills in Japanese or Korean a plus
Experience with simship schedules is a plus
