Describe Job Duties:
- Work closely and provide direct technical product support to development team. Testing and verifying new hardware and software according to RFC and design spec, setting up environment to trouble-shoot bugs and verify prototype are the most common daily tasks.
- Write bug reports, configure sample, technical bulletins and application notes for the Fortinet support web site and knowledge base
- Collect and process samples of network traffic for inclusion in scripts.
Describe Job Experience Required:
-2 years of QA or technical support related job experience
-2 years of Linux experience
-2 years of system/network administrator experience
-Knowledge of Linux: 2.4, 2.6 Network, Daemon, System Configurations
-Network knowledge: Strong understanding of TCP/IP (ICMP, IP, TCP, UDP, SNMP, IPSec, IKE, SSH, HTTP, SSL) and Routing/Switching protocols Protocol (RIP, OSPF, IGRP, EIGRP, BGP, IS-IS)
-Knowledge of Firewall, IPSec/IKE, Intrusion detection/prevention, Antivirus
-Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
-At least master one kind of scripts such as Python, Perl, Shell, TCL, etc.
-Knowledge of general QA procedures and methodologies, and software development fundamentals
-CCNP, CCIE, MCSE or RHCE is preferred.

Responsibilities:

-A degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field
-Demonstrated ability to logically and analytically troubleshoot software
-Demonstrated ability to write clear and reproducible problem reports, and test results
-Experience configuring, installing, and troubleshooting PC/server software and hardware in a Windows or Linux/Unix environment
-Knowledge of general QA procedures and methodologies, and software development fundamentals
-Ability to work in a collaborative environment and communicate well with other departments
-Ability to work on assigned tasks under tight time constraints
Desired Skills
