PURPOSE

Note will help you resolve an error that may occur when starting the Oracle
COnnector for Outlook on Window XP.
Behavior may occur on different OSes as well

SCOPE & APPLICATION

Starting Outlook Connector for Outlook generates the following error:

Ordinal 3245 could not be found in the dynamic link library LIBEAY32.DLL
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

When the user launches the Oracle Connector for Outlook, they may get the error:
"The Ordinal 3245 could not be found in the dynamiclink library LIBEAY32.DLL"
This does not occur when using a non Outlook Connector Profile.

CAUSE:
------

Multiple copies of libeay32.dll and or ssleay32.dll

The problem you are experiencing is caused by the Oracle Connector for Outlook
when loading these DLLs from an unexpected location.

SOLUTION:
---------
Look for libeay32.dll and ssleay32.dll anywhere on the system.
Note that these files should be in the Oracle Connector for Outlook installation
directory.

If you find multiple copies of these files (libeay32.dll, ssleay32.dll,
please delete or rename the ones that are not in the Oracle Connector for Outlook
installation directory.

If you have them elswhere than in the installation directory,
please move them to the installation directory.
