Senior Software Tester

Job Description
As a software tester on the HP OpenView Identity Management engineering team, you will provide test coverage for Select Access (SA) patches, service packs and for new releases. You will be extending the Select Access QA team based in Toronto.

Responsibilities
*Gain thorough understanding of overall product architecture and key features to be able to train other testers within GDCC.
*Gain thorough understanding of the test plans for various functional components of SA.
*Learn about the interaction between development and QA group.
*Gain thorough understanding of the bug tracking system.
*Run test cases for assigned area of responsibility.
*Log issues in the bug tracking system.
*Verify and close issues once resolved by development.
*Modify test cases in case additional information is required.

Qualifications
*Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
*Background in software test methodology
*Experience with a commercial bug tracking system (Quix would be an asset)
*Multiplatform experience including HP-UX, Solaris, Windows and Linux
*Extensive experience with Web Servers (iPlanet, Apache, IIS)
*Extensive experience with Application Servers such as Tomcat, WebSphere and WebLogic
*Experience with Directory environments, including Active Directory and OpenLDAP
*Experience with Network Security
*Some experience with Radius, Securid, IWA or NTLM/Kerberos
*Troubleshooting and debugging skills with distributed multi-tier applications
*Able to focus on key deliverables in a fast-paced development environment
*Good oral and written communication skills
*A self-starter who can co-ordinate with a team, yet work independently towards a common goal

Key Words

2.1 years experience with application servers (JBoss, WebSphere, WebLogic or JBoss)
3.1 year experience with Unix platforms and popular RDBMS (Oracle, SqlServer, DB( Oracle or SQL), and etc)

L10N Testing Engineer – Korean

Business Environment and Job Descriptions
This position focuses on HP OpenView products Korean localization projects.
*Perform localization testing (functionality testing and linguistic testing) on localized products.
*Set up complicated testing environment on HP–UX, Solaris, Linux and Windows.
*Support R&D team to deliver localized products.
*Provide linguistic review to localized OpenView products, including Software, manuals, online-help and related documentations.

Qualifications
*B.S. in Computer Science, Information System or related technical degree
*A native Korean speaker and has experience in IT industry in Korea is big plus.
*Minimum 2 years experience in testing, especially in UNIX environment on networking products.
*Basic knowledge of Trados, Adobe Frame Maker, UltraEdit is big plus.
*L10N and I18N working experiences are preferred.
*Excellent Customer interaction and communication skills.
*Strong problem solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills.
*Good planning and organizational skills with great ability to multi-task.

*2 years experience of automation testing tools/scripts is mandatory
*Excellent in UNIX/Linux Administration and Windows system administration
*Familiar with testing process, testing skill and tools.
−QTP/TD and/or WinRunner and/or SilkTest is a good plus
−Software Internationalization(I18N) experience is a good plus
−C/C++ or Tcl/Tk development experience is a good plus
*Good written and speech communication skill in English

Primary deliverables:
*Lead Globalization(G11N)/Internationalization(I18N) testing capability of the team
*Lead the troubleshooting of G11/I18N issues
*Assist PM in G11N/I18N testing planning, coordination, tracking, and execution

Qualifications
*The engineer must have the following skills

−Software Internationalization(I18N) or Globalization (G11N)
−UNIX/Linux Administration
−Windows system administration
−Testing process, testing skill and experience
−Good written and speech communication skill in English
−Must have at least of 2 years of I18N/G11N testing experience

Highly expected
−Automation testing with QTP/TD
−C/C++ or Tcl/Tk development experience

Additionally desirable skills

有韩语/日语要求的，自然对英语要求就降低了
嘻嘻，其他的，还是有要求的，要能用英语交流沟通吧，不怎么流利么，也要能沟通没问题。。。

作过本地化和国际化的测试工作，各国语言方面的要求不是很高，毕竟可以懂几个国家的语言不多．但某些关键地方表达一定要符合各国的风俗习惯，这些都会在前期的准备工作中和开发人员一起学习，并做好写在测试用例中．
不过说了那么多还是有个条件不符合的Good oral communication skills，应该不用发简历了吧．
