Job Description
seeking a Software Quality Assurance Analyst with strong analytical skills who has experience in QA testing for large transactional systems having complex interfaces.
The applicant must be capable of creating requirement specification documents as well as consistently conducting Quality Assurance tasks.
They will be primarily focused on the support, maintenance and enhancement of existing Billing, Time Entry and Workflow systems.
Responsibilities
§
Work with business partners to gather, document and interpret user requirements into specifications and to ensure that solutions meet business needs.
§
Create and execute test plans.
§
Create and update master test plans considering the context and understanding the test objectives and risks.
§
Log, track and test defects.
§
Support user acceptance test sessions.
§
Mentor junior quality assurance team members.
§
Act as the liaison between user acceptance testers, application development, and business groups with respect to test events.
§
Prepare work schedule and estimates of testing effort and other related information.
§
Provide status updates on assigned items.
§
Support installation of application releases into production as directed.
§
Create and provide content for operational documentation to Technical Writers.
Experience & Skills
§
Bachelor’s degree in a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
§
2-4 years of QA testing experience with large enterprise level software projects having complex interfaces.
§
Formal training in the testing discipline and knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
§
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively; verbally and in writing.
§
Proven team player with an ability to work in a matrix team environment.
§
Strong understanding of Oracle database and constructing/executing SQL queries.
§
Experience of the full software development life cycle (SDLC).
§
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required.
§
Ability to work independently.
§
Ability to organize workflow in order to accomplish multiple and changing priorities within specified timeframe.
