Responsibilities
Sr. SQA engineer is responsible for endpoint security product test and automation work
• Work with other QAs for security products testing.
• Develop test tool/script for functional test.
• Develop automation tool/script and executing automation test.
• Work closely with developers to create necessary hooks into products for testing automation
• Research new product component technology, provide test suggestion and related training.
• Review code to ensure consistency and validate the design and implementation of the solutions.
• Co-ordinate and communicate with US partners and colleagues.
Qualifications
• M.S. or B.S. in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of CS work experience, including 2+ years of programming or scripting experience in C++ or Java.
• 2+ years automation test experience is required.
• Experience with code coverage and memory profile tools.
• Have good understanding of operating system fundamentals, such as scheduling, memory management, queuing theory, etc
• Have good understanding of security, such as Antivirus, Antispyware, Heuristic Protection.
• Have hands-on experience on windows service configuration
• Have a good understanding of the software testing methods, configuration management tools, and software development processes
• Strong trouble shooting ability to solve critical technical issues
• A good team player with excellent communication skills.
• Good oral and written English is preferred.
Responsibilities
• Work with other QA and DEV engineers for Security products testing.
• Creates test cases and scripts that fulfill test plans and requirements.
• Execute existing test scripts, automation tools to do functional testing cases
• Make analysis for test results, file defect into Symantec defect tracking system.
• Organizes and executes tasks and overall workload based on team goals and priorities.
• Review and provide feedback on product specification, design, and user documentation
• Investigate new tools to increase the breadth and depth of test capability
• Co-ordinate and communicate with US partners and colleagues.
Qualifications
• M.S. or B.S. in Computer Science or related field
• 2 + years of software testing on enterprise products, Automation experience will be a plus.
• Have a basic understanding of operating system fundamentals, such as scheduling, memory management, queuing theory, etc
• Have good understanding of security, such as Antivirus, Antispyware, Heuristic Protection.
• Have hands-on experience on windows service configuration
• Have a basic knowledge of a scripting language (e.g. Perl, Rational Visual Test, Python, etc.), this is desired but not required
• Have a good understanding of the software testing methods, configuration management tools, and software development processes
• Good communication capability in English.
