Load Testing is used to test an application against a requested number of users. The objective sis to determine whether the site can sustain this requested number of users with acceptable response times.
Stress testing, on the other hand, is load testing over extended periods of time to validate an application’s stability and reliability.
Capacity testing is used to determine the maximum number of concurrent users an application can manage. For example, business would use capacity testing to benchmark the maximum loads of concurrent users their sites can sustain before experiencing system failure.
