The key focus is on scripting and automation, less on actual product development. Automation covers not only testing, but also build and deployment along with any otherwise labor intensive development activities.
General Requirements
• 4+ years of overall software development experience
• Good understanding of development processes and standards.
• Experience with Agile development methods, especially Scrum
• Experience with software product lifecycle through multiple releases
• Possesses the urge to automate all manual processes and not afraid of investing time upfront to do so
• Proactive and initiative taking
• Works well under pressure and with minimal supervision
• Good communication skills in English, both oral and written
Project Specific Requirements
• 3+ years of in-depth coding using various scripting languages and techniques such as Perl, shell, Python, VBscript, regexp
• Hands-on development experience using one or more 3rd ** test automation tools including, but not limited to, QTP, Robot, Selenium, JMeter
• Hands-on experience working with build tools such as Ant and makefile
• Familiar with C++, Java, XML, and web-based applications development
• Must be a Unix or Linux power-user, Windows only is not enough, sysadmin experience is welcome
• Ability to troubleshoot and solution research for problems what come with minimal technical information
• QE background, whitebox testing as oppose to blackbox, is desirable
• Experience in leveraging VM technologies for automation is a plus
• Experience with continuous integration (CI) servers such as CruiseControl and AntHillPro would be a strong plus
Tech Lead/Lead Developer Requirements
· All above, plus:
· 5+ years of overall experience with 2+ years in a leader capacity. ScrumMaster certification or experience would be ideal
· Good documentation skills with attention to details
· Proven track record in development task planning/tracking, design and deliverable review, assisting and mentoring junior members on technically complex issues
· Experience in direct interaction with English-speaking clients
