The Engineer, Quality Assurance will help verify that the business vision has been turned into physical reality by validating that the sites and systems meet design specifications and requirements.
Responsibilities:
* Review and report on test case results to Business Leader / Team Lead, as well as cross-functional team members regarding any potential quality issues per build/release.
* Attend feature design sessions.
* Review functional specifications.
* Develop functional test cases.
* Execute test cases.
* Report defects and verify defect fixes on our software application products.
* Ensure the quality and integrity of the websites and internal systems of Match.com.
* Requires an individual verify that the business vision has been turned into physical reality by validating that the sites and systems meet design specifications and requirements.
* Part of a strong team which delivers a high quality product to our customers
* All other duties as assigned.
Experience and Skills Required:
* BS or BA or equivalent degree preferred
* 3+ years of relevant QA technical experience
* 3+ years process implementation
* 2+ years large enterprise or e-business systems experience
* Ability to provide accurate effort estimates.
* Create clear, concise detail oriented test plans/cases.
* Ability to understand and create test plans from functional specifications or verbal communications.
* Liaison with JP business team, US development, project management and customer support team for test QA related functions.
* Ability to work and communicate well with others both in English and Japanese.
* Ability to work in a cohesive team environment.
* Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
* Strong time management skills.
* Ability to work fairly autonomously in day-to-day testing of large scale web applications.
* Experience testing web applications using manual and automated test methodologies.
* Knowledge of SQL Server environments.
* Knowledge of Windows NT/2000/2003 network environments; experience testing HTML, Javascript, ASP, and .Net.
* Good understanding of Quality Assurance process and methodologies.
* Knowledge of QA tools including bug/defect tracking systems; test plan/case documentation software, and domain knowledge.
