The development manager will manage and lead team of software engineers in design, development, test and deployment of service-oriented e-commerce systems. The applicant will participate in the overall planning, execution, and success of complex cross-functional team projects. Must be capable of working closely with product management to ensure we're building the best products. You will actively participate in recruitment of candidates for technical positions and mentor junior technical staff. Summary of Qualification:
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences. English fluency is strongly desired.
•Strong leader capable of motivating and energizing the very best software engineers. Ability to manage a team of 6-10 software engineers, including task planning and code reviews.
•Demonstrated expertise in problem solving and technical innovation and capable of "rolling-up sleeves and getting hands dirty."
•proven ability to share knowledge with more junior team members through formal mentoring, code reviews, design reviews, technical talks, classes, or as a project consultant.
•Broad knowledge of C++ and Java in a Linux/Unix environment as well as agile software development methodologies and Scrum. Familiarity with distributed systems, asynchronous messaging and web issues is desired
•5-10 years experience (including time working towards advanced degrees and/or experience).
•CS degree strongly preferred.
