EDS, a leading multi-national IT service provider, is currently servicing a number of clients in the area of software testing globally. As the engagements with our clients continue to expand, our service offerings are also expanding to include test planning, specialty testing, testing governance and test consultancy.
Responsibilities:
As a Testing Delivery Manager and a direct report to the head of EDS’ Applications Service Delivery in China, you will have ownership of multiple global software testing projects. In addition, you will take the lead as a part of a global team defining EDS’ testing strategy for China (on-shore and off-shore), you will participate in the identification, solutioning and delivery of new testing services for existing and new EDS clients, and you will provide oversight for and leadership to all EDS testing staff in China.
Qualifications:
l 10-12 years of IT experience in Software Testing projects, in which at least 4-5 years of Test Management
l Strong fluency in Written and spoken English
l Knowledge of and experience with global Testing and Quality Management principles, tools, techniques and methods
l Able to develop Organizational Testing Strategy - Architecting Tests, Test effort estimation, Preparing Test Proposals & Test Management methodologies
l Knowledge of general and industry-specific client business issues in the area of Testing
l Knowledge of IT Services contracting types, Offshore Service Transition & Service Delivery Management
l Possess effective relationship management skills and ability to effectively manage client expectations; Experience in working in onsite/offshore models
l Superior People & Project/Program Management skills; Should have prior experience in leading large test teams (50+) or multiple small teams
l Experience in managing projects based out of different geographical locations
l Experience selling or supporting the sale of testing services
l Experience in working with and for multi-national corporations / clients
l Knowledge of work breakdown structures, estimating, contingency planning, task dependencies, resource allocations and leveling, performance monitoring, and scheduling tools
l Knowledge of project requirements, communication tools/techniques and skill, knowledge and experience level of project team members and coaching / mentoring methods and techniques
l Experienced in the use of knowledge management repositories, continuous process improvement methods, standard program/project management tools, and resource management
Desired Experience:
l Fluent Putonghua - both written and spoken.
l Software development leadership experience
l Excellent inter-personal and communication skills; Good time management skills
l Strong knowledge and experience in applying standards and processes to work, such as best practice project management, problem management, change management, etc.
l Experience in IT outsourcing industry
l Well developed analytical skills & Customer-facing relationship management skills
l Ability & adaptability to work in a matrixed environment, where effective communication with different teams across the globe is required
l Testing Certification
Others:
As this is a professional & senior role, some additional or out side of normal business work hours may be required
Flexibility to travel both locally and globally, potentially for extended periods of time
Must meet and maintain security compliance requirements of EDS and relevant clients as required
