Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations
The testing manger will lead a team of highly talented and mission focused testers in Beijing, report to senior engineering manager. Owns to lead testing team to support all server solutions testing needs to ensure quality products deployment. Interact with other function teams globally, such as development, CM, PM, NetOps, and etc.
Specific Knowledge/Skills
MS degree or above in Computer Science/EE, 6+ years industrial experiences, with at least 2 yr testing related,
Past experience as a manager, or strong experience as a team leader
• Experience with system testing is required, good system testing methodology and problem analyzing and solving skills
• Familiar with some test tools is highly appreciated;
• Work well independently and work effectively in a team environment
• Good interpersonal/communication skills and excellent English skill in both oral and written
• Test automation experience preferred
• Quick learner and self-motivated to solve problems
• Good team played and high responsibility

Department Description The Motorola Mobile Devices 3GSM Global System Test Team is responsible for validation and verification of software functionality for GSM/3G handsets. This includes analysis and review of requirements test planning test design and procedure development and all validation activities to achieve shipment for products.
Experienced in all test phases such as developing system test plans, writing test specifications, test procedures, test scripts align with product requirements.
- Execute test cases and report test results using Test Central/TMS repository
- Work closely with internal / external cross-functional organizations such as requirements, software development, and field test teams to resolve technical issues
- Address system test PR's and bring to closure
- Follow and improve System Test Execution process
- Participate in inspections of requirements and test plans.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application problems.
- Performed Root Cause Analysis for release problem reports.
- Maintain close relationships with internal/external teams to assure a cohesive organization.
Specific Knowledge/Skills
Candidates will have a BS/MS EE/CE/CS degree plus 3+ years of experience in the test plan development and execution for real-time embedded systems, preferably with experience in any or all of the following:
• Wireless communication products testing and test plan documentation.
• Must be familiar with the concepts involved in testing embedded products.
• Strong troubleshooting and defect localization abilities.
• Ability to analyze requirements and develop strong test cases.
• Able to follow test process and work within the guidelines of the process. Must be a highly flexible individual used to working in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment.
• The candidate must also have strong interpersonal and communication skills, problem solving ability, and motivation.
• Experience in iDEN/CDMA technology is a plus.
• Individual will need a strong background in product systems test development, understanding test applications and methodologies
• Familiar with debug tools to capture embedded software issues, defect tracking tools DDTS, and TestCentral/TMS for reporting test results
• Ability to effectively apply technical skills with minimum supervision, a highly self-motivated with good verbal and written communication
• Ability to travel as needed to support testing in customer lab
• Experience leading team/working with remote sites a plus.
