Performance Testing Engineer
Location: ChengduReports to: Director, Engineering Beijing China
Position Status: Full Time
Position Overview:
Candidates for the position of Performance Test Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of throughput, scalability and stress testing of products including, but not limited to, researching, creating and executing performance tests and creation of varied test environments, including automated test environments. He or she must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous projects while adhering to tight deadlines and aggressive project schedules.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute performance test strategy, plans and cases for network security products
Present and communicate performance testing results to project teams and management
Collaborate with members of internal and external organizations to validate performance improvements
Configure networking equipment, Linux and Windows systems, and network security applications as needed to complete testing
Good communication both in English and Chinese
Requirements:
B.S or M.S in Computer Science and related filed
3+ years of network, application, or server testing
In-depth knowledge of performance test methodologies and the defect reporting processes
Experience with performance testing tools including Spirent Avalanche/Reflector,Smartbits,or testcenter and the scripting of these tools
Demonstrated ability to understand and troubleshoot layer 2-7 protocols, including TCP, UDP, HTTP, SMTP and Ethernet, based on RFCs
Familiarity with UTM performance testing standards, requirements and current methodologies
Experience with scripting languages(PERL, TCL) and database
Experience with UNIX and/or Linux and Windows environments, including basic Linux system administration skills
