这张从LP时代到CD版本上市人人争相购买的传家宝发烧唱片，现在隆重发行XRCD版本，除了保留了CD版本原有二十首动听曲 目，经过XRCD处理之後乐器与人声更为细腻，动态更为庞大。这张瑞士歌曲与赞美诗交织而成的绝美唱片，无处不美的人声以及伴奏乐器XRCD版发挥到极致，柔软滑润的绕梁旋律，佐以 教堂中独特的纯净空灵感，让来自北国瑞典的天使般歌声，浸入心中最底层的感动。又因为其黄色封套，所以被冠以“黄教堂”。
这张唱片成就非凡，他是瑞典录音奇才Bertil Aiving 除了《黑教堂》之外的另一伟大之作，因为封面为黄色，所以又称为黄教堂。原为LP版本，1981年转制为CD后，成为发烧天碟。《麦田之歌》共有23首圣歌，又把我们带回了教堂之中，将瑞典的宗教歌曲以民歌形式唱出，但听出来却是另一番感受，这次是由儿童合唱团演出瑞典的宗教歌曲，而伴奏乐器则是管风琴、结他与长笛合等，你可以想像得到，在Bertil Aiving处理之下，录音地点的空气感，教堂的堂音、残响，管风琴的低频，结他及长笛的音色皆觊到无懈可击。营造出异常动听的Hi-Fi境界，无论乐器音色、人声质感、音场层次与低频份量俱属无敌！当然如果你是小型的音响系统，那么可能管风琴的质感就不会感觉到了..
