What is the end-2-end testing?

What is the end-2-end testing? and how to do it? please help me?
The other question is: What is the hot test?
Before this company, I did not met them. So, If you know, please feel free to tell me, or tell me the concept...
BTW, Now I work on the front-end testing, and the other team work on the back-end testing, in the schedul, I need to test end-2-end testing, but I don't know what is the meaning.
