TestView Installation Instructions
You will need to install TestView before you can receive your license key.
If you have earlier (or beta) versions of either WebLOAD or WebFT installed on your system, please uninstall them before installing the TestView software.
Browse to the directory that holds the TestView .zip file that you downloaded.
Double-click the file and extract the TestView Executable.
Browse to the directory that holds the TestView Executable file and double-click it.
Follow the instructions on your screen. When the installation Wizard completes the installation, it will prompt you to restart your computer. Click OK to restart your computer.
Once your computer has restarted, the TestView License window appears displaying the Host ID for your computer.
If you do not have a license file, copy the HostID in the HostID tab and paste it into an email with your name, company name, address, telephone number and email address and send your email to license@radview.com.
Once you have received your license file, save it to the \License directory in C:\Program Files\RadView\TestView\License. Then, select Start -> Programs ->TestView -> Tools -> Update License, then choose the Select License tab. Select your license file from the Open window, then click OK. You can now start testing!
To install the TestTalk network agent on a machine with a UNIX operating system (so that it can run load generators), complete the following steps:
Copy the webload-<solaris-version>-<ssl support>.tar.Z file to a directory on the Solaris machine.
Note: When downloading the WebLOAD-solaris file, some versions of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer change the .Z extension (an uppercase “z”) to .z (a lowercase “z”). If the filename ends in .z, you must rename the file so that it ends in .Z.
Uncompress the file by typing uncompress <name of file>
Change to the directory you want to install TestTalk in.
Untar the file by typing tar xfv/<path to the file>/<filename>
Change to the <install directory>/radview/webload<version>/bin/solaris directory.
Run setup. Now you can run the TestTalk network agent on this machine and identify this machine as a load generator machine in the WebLOAD Console. To start the TestTalk network agent, run starttesttalk.
